Best AI Visibility Consultants for Local Service Businesses (2026)

Eight firms that sell AI visibility work today, compared for a local service business: what each one does, who it fits, and what it costs where the firm publishes a price, with every fact checked on the firm's own site in October 2026.

By Mike Scott, Founder of AI Deployment PartnerUpdated October 29, 2026 10 minute comparison

When a homeowner needs a plumber, a roofer, or a lawyer, more of them now ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Gemini who to hire. The answer names a few businesses. Getting named is a new kind of work, and a new kind of firm sells it: the AI visibility consultant. Most of the lists for this work are written for big brands with big budgets. This one is written for a local service business. It covers the firms that actually sell AI visibility work today, what each one does, who it fits, and what it costs where the firm publishes a price.

How we picked them

Three tests. The firm sells a real AI visibility offer today, checked on its own pages in October 2026, not just regular SEO with a new label. The offer is something a service business could buy, even if the firm's main market is bigger companies, and we say plainly when that is the case. And the facts below come from the firm's own site, with the date we checked. Where a firm publishes no price, we say so instead of guessing.

The firms, one by one

Map Authority Consultants: best for a local business that wants a priced first audit

Map Authority Consultants homepage offering AI search visibility for Phoenix and Arizona businesses
Screenshot from mapauthorityconsultants.com, October 2026.

Map Authority is a Phoenix firm built only around this work, and it aims at the trades and professions a local owner will recognize: dental and medical, plumbing and HVAC, roofing, and law firms are its named focus areas. Its model is a diagnosis first. A free session of about 20 minutes gives a first read, then a one-time AI visibility audit at a published $249 checks how AI describes you, how you compare with competitors, and where the work should start. Ongoing work is a partnership plan with no published price.

Pros:

  • One of the only firms here that publishes a price for the first step.
  • Built for local service businesses, not adapted down from enterprise work.

Cons:

  • Its own client results section says the firm is just getting started, so there is little finished client proof to read yet.
  • The sales language is heavy. Read the audit, not the pitch.

Pricing: Free intro session. AI visibility audit $249 one-time. Ongoing partnership priced by scope. Checked October 2026 on the firm's own site.

Sterling Sky: best for local businesses that live on Google Business Profile

Sterling Sky is a local SEO agency in Canada and the US, run by Joy Hawkins, who has worked in local search since 2006 and writes and speaks on Google Business Profile behavior. Roundups of this category place its strength in local answer engine work and entity consistency for small businesses and franchises, which fits how AI answers local questions: off your profile, your reviews, and whether your facts match everywhere.

Pros:

  • Deep local search bench. Google Business Profile problems are home ground for this team.
  • A testing habit. The firm publishes what it tests in local search instead of repeating rules of thumb.

Cons:

  • AI visibility sits inside a broader local SEO practice, so it is not a standalone product with a set scope you can read before a call.
  • No published pricing, so the first step is a conversation.

Pricing: No published pricing. Checked October 2026.

Local SEO Guide: best for multi-location and franchise businesses

Local SEO Guide homepage

Local SEO Guide is a consultancy led by Andrew Shotland, a search veteran of more than 20 years. Category roundups list its AI work as entity building plus local answer engine optimization, with strong technical depth. Its published work includes controlled tests of what moves a brand in and out of Google AI Overviews, which is the kind of evidence worth asking any firm on this list for.

Pros:

  • Senior consultants, not a junior account team.
  • Real experiments on AI answers, published where you can read them.

Cons:

  • The practice is built around multi-location brands. A single-location shop is a small account there.
  • No published pricing.

Pricing: No published pricing. Checked October 2026.

First Page Sage: best for B2B and enterprise brands buying thought leadership content

First Page Sage homepage
Screenshot from firstpagesage.com, October 2026.

First Page Sage is a Berkeley-founded agency that says it launched one of the first dedicated GEO services, in May 2023. Its model is expert-written thought leadership content built to rank in Google and get cited by AI from the same work, plus placements, database presence, and review generation. Its named clients are software and enterprise names, not local services. It is on this list so you can see what the established end of the market looks like, and what it charges.

Pros:

  • The clearest published pricing in the category, in tiers you can read before a call.
  • Month-to-month terms reported on its top tiers, which is rare at this size.

Cons:

  • The work is built for B2B and enterprise brands. A local service business is not the client this firm is set up for.
  • Even the lowest published tier buys placements on ranking sites, so ask what part of the fee is media cost.

Pricing: Published tiers of roughly $2,000 to $3,000 a month for placements, $4,000 to $7,000 adding list articles, and $8,000 to $12,000 with more articles plus reputation work and PR. Checked October 2026 against the firm's published GEO pricing breakdown.

Victorious: best for larger companies that want AEO built into a full SEO program

Victorious is a San Francisco search agency that sells answer engine optimization as part of SEO, not as a separate product. On its own AEO page it says it restructures pages so AI can extract your expertise, adds structured data, builds entity signals, and tracks citations across AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Gemini. It reports over 20,000 AI Overview citations earned for clients.

Pros:

  • A long SEO track record underneath the AI work, so the basics get handled too.
  • Citation tracking tied to pipeline reporting, not just a visibility score.

Cons:

  • Its AEO page says plainly that it helps companies with more than $10M in annual revenue. Most local service businesses are under that line, and the firm says so itself.
  • Pricing is custom scoped after a consultation, with nothing published to compare.

Pricing: Custom scoped, free consultation. No published pricing. Checked October 2026 on the firm's own site.

Intero Digital: best for mid-size and larger brands that want one full-service agency

Intero Digital homepage for its full-service digital agency

Intero Digital is a large full-service agency, 50 to 249 employees, founded in 1996, that connects SEO, paid media, content, digital PR, and AI search in one strategy. Its AI work runs under its own framework names for generative search, and it publishes case work, including a pet food brand whose Google AI Overview visibility it reports growing by 645 percent over six months. That client scale tells you the market: consumer brands and mid-size companies, not single-location trades.

Pros:

  • Every channel under one roof, if you want one agency for search, ads, and content together.
  • Published AI search case work you can read before a call.

Cons:

  • AI visibility is one service inside a large general practice, so a small business competes for attention with much bigger accounts.
  • No published pricing.

Pricing: No published pricing. Checked October 2026.

Frostbite Marketing: best for businesses that want citation tracking run for them

Frostbite Marketing AI visibility service page
Screenshot from frostbitemarketing.com, October 2026.

Frostbite sells itself as an AI visibility agency: entity SEO, structured content, and ongoing citation tracking in one strategy. Its service page describes auditing where AI engines already answer your category, closing the gaps that keep AI from citing you, then tracking whether the citations land, monitoring a set of 50 to 200 prompts with the exact quotes logged.

Pros:

  • The measurement is concrete: prompts, rank, and verbatim quotes, on a recurring schedule.
  • AI visibility is the whole offer, not a side line.

Cons:

  • The worked examples on its page are hypothetical businesses, not named clients with results you can check.
  • No published pricing.

Pricing: No published pricing. Checked October 2026 on the firm's own site.

AI Deployment Partner: best for local service businesses that want the check and the fixes from one small firm

AI Deployment Partner homepage
Screenshot from aideploymentpartner.com, October 2026.

This is our firm, so read this entry the way you would read any firm writing about itself. We built a free AI visibility checker that asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini the questions your customers ask and scores whether you get named, with the scores labeled on the page as AI generated estimates. Behind it sits a human audit, the AI Opportunity Audit, and the fix work from our AI visibility services guide: listings and entity cleanup, review structuring, and answer-first page fixes. That is the whole practice. We do not run ads, branding, or general marketing.

Pros:

  • The first check is free and takes a couple of minutes, before any sales call.
  • Built only for service businesses, so the questions and fixes are about your services and your town.

Cons:

  • We are a small, newer firm, and this work only. If you want one agency for everything, that is not us.
  • No published prices. The work is scoped from the free assessment, so you get a number after we have seen your results, not before.

Pricing: Free checker. Audit and ongoing work scoped from the free assessment, no published prices. Checked October 2026 on the firm's own site.

How to choose

  • You want to know where you stand before spending anything. Take a priced or free first step: Map Authority's $249 audit, or our free checker.
  • Your problem is local basics. If your Google Business Profile is messy, your reviews are thin, or your facts disagree across directories, a local specialist like Sterling Sky, or the cleanup work in our services guide, fixes the layer AI reads first.
  • You run several locations. Local SEO Guide and the larger agencies are built for that scale. A single-location firm will be out of its depth, us included.
  • You have a real content budget and a brand to build. First Page Sage and Victorious sell the enterprise version of this work, at enterprise prices, and publish enough for you to judge the fit before a call.

Whichever firm you talk to, ask three things. Which AI platforms do you check, and can I see the actual answers, not just a score. What do you fix yourselves, versus hand back as a report. And what does the first step cost, in writing, before anything monthly starts.

Start with the free check

Run the free AI visibility check before you hire anyone on this list, us included. It takes a couple of minutes and tells you whether AI names you at all. If it does not, you have the starting fact every firm above will charge you to find. If you want a person to dig into the result, that is what our AI Opportunity Audit is for.

Questions owners ask

What does an AI visibility consultant actually do?

Runs the questions your customers ask AI, records who gets named and what gets cited, then fixes what decides the answer: your listings and facts, your reviews, your pages, and your mentions around the web. Then they keep checking, because the answers move.

How much should this cost a local business?

The honest range on this page runs from free to $249 for a first check, and from about $2,000 a month at the published enterprise end. Most local businesses should start at the cheap end. Pay monthly money only after a first audit shows what the work has to fix.

Can I just do this myself?

Yes, with time. Our roundup of AI visibility tools covers the software owners use to run the checks themselves. What a consultant sells is the hours, the fixes done for you, and someone making sure it keeps happening.

Want a second set of eyes?

We can review where AI may help your business, prioritize realistic opportunities, and decide whether the best first step is an integration, an AI workflow, or custom software.
